So we went to dinner for RC's birthday with our close friends to Ah-so with the Troj family and it was deelish, however, Matt and Ash both ended up with hurting tummies...Whoops. We got there at around 630 and then had to wait FOREVER ( I think the hostess was like "oh they have kids, lets torture them") and once we sat down we had the BEST cooking chef ever. He was great. He interacted with us, he thought about the kids and gave them little treats (we found out Rian loves brocolli and shrimp) and we just had an all around good time.
The best part of course was when we had cake (real cake, not the "made up" kind) and we opened presents. RC was shocked that he got anything as things have been a little tight around here due to christmas for THREE kids and such. HOWEVER, I managed to splurge a little as he deserves it for putting up with us and all of our "issues". Matt and Ash got RC some yummy cigars (and much to our upset he paid for MOST the dinner...little weasel) and the girls made him some SWEET cards (sorry no pics of those) and then we got him three things that he LOVES. An IPOD Nano to hook up in the car (more news on the car later) a wii game that he wanted (old school Super Mario Brothers) and a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. Haha. HE loved all of them but the one that was the hardest for ME to hand over was the new personalized plate.
SO. We have two cars, both are TECHNICALLY mine I suppose, since the Mazda was a bday present for me from RC a couple years back and the Escape was from my parents and I drive it around. Now, RC has the Mazda as his own but the license plate says HOTG33K and it has butterfly stickers on it so as MY Bday present to HIM I got him personalized plates that said RC42 and we told him he can officially take off the butterfly stickers. I know. SAD DAY, but he deservers a car of his own. He has no bike, no fancy dad car and he gave it all up to support his family better so gotta give him a break at some point.
Well here are some sweet pics from that night. I will post the new years pics just after that...but wanted to give RC a blog of his own special for his 31st Birthday :)
