UP!

We are going to see UP! I am so excited. It's just the girls and I, the sitter will have Rian and the Hubby will be working, but it is for Carina, she got ALL her grades up! GOOD JOB! So I will report later if it was good or not!

LAUGHING!

Fun and Surprises!

So we went to the "park" (more or less a grassy area in our housing complex) and we hung out, played some baseball, played some football and relaxed on a blanket with the baby. There was also some cute little puppies that the girls got to play with to...

BUTTTTTTT....the best part of the night was when we checked the mail (yeah this time even Bill's couldn't bring us down)...because the FIRST thing I saw was a cute pink envelope that had MY name on it!!! Woohoo. What was it you ask...oh just a sweet princess card from Dusty and Stacy!! Hehe. (for those who don't know, Dusty is my sister in law, and Stacy, despite his girly name, is her BOYfriend. LOL). What you ask was SOO exciting about the card, well first it was for my upcoming B-Day and second it had a Starbucks card inside!! Woot Woot. The SECOND thing we saw was envelope from our friends Sam and Rachel, and when we opened the card, it said "two hands, two heartss..." and RC and I got all excited thinking it was a wedding invite or engagement announcement. NO suck luck...BUT, it was a sweet congrats card from our wedding. The story behind it is that we didn't actually get to say goodbye to them in Vegas when we got married, but they are TRULY some special friends of ours. HOPEFULLY this cool shout out will convince them to IGNORE the heat and come visit us this summer. Hint Hint. So for a boring Thursday night it actually turned out to be pretty swell.

Memorial Day

So for Memorial Day we decided to go ahead and gather all the kids together, gather a few friends and head down to Anthem Outlets for a shopping day. We were there for about 6 hours, had lunch, did shopping, but the best part of the day (well two times we went) was the little waterpark they had. So fun. The kids got drenched, the parents had some laughs and well...in the end, I know at least my kids passed out on the ride home due to all the fun!! Hehe.

What a day. We got some really cute clothes for Rian's next "stage"...so 18 months, and we were just in really good company which was the best part. Here are a few pics from the day...mostly the water park. ENJOY!

(Let me know if you can't see all the pics and I'll try to post a different way)

Boys will be boys...

New Addition

Last night around 730pm our neighbor let us know that her daughter had moved out, and she had left her hamster there at her house. SOO, the neighbor showed me the hamster and me being the sucker that I am, could NOT say no, and we now have a stinky little hamster.

Around 830pm, while RC had just left to hang out with some co-workers, we (me and Neya and Rian, since Carina was ALSO out for the night) headed over to Petsmart. We got there just in time as they close at 9pm! Phew. So we walked in and realized unlike cats, dogs and fish which I know enough about I know NOTHING about Hamsters. They are defenitely a foreign animal to me! So what did we do you ask...yep, we grabbed one of the "rodent" specialists and asked away. Now we are informed as to how often to change bedding, feed, change water and what treats are good or not good...and did you know Hamsters need to excercise, so we got him a little ball so he can roam around the kitchen (the dogs are NOT a fan of the newest family member, especially when he is in his ball...rolling around).

Today we are just admiring him and I really hoping that since I am taking him on (since I know I can't rely on the kids to change his stuff out)that his cage won't get stinky. Lord knows I DO NOT want to be known as the family with the "stinky" house. So if you come over and you can smell the Hamster, PLEASE speak up and tell me...

Well here you go...feel free to also admire...

GIBBY the Hamster

(is Gibby a girl name..cause I don't want to give him a complex...)

Ironic

Isn't it ironic...don't you think...

That my sons jammies would tell me that they need to fit snug or he might catch on fire.

Weird.

Guess you can make the house safe...but not the wardrobe.

Still Weird.

Safety Time!!!

So we were upstairs putting away clothes this morning when I realized. WHOA. Time to safety up the house. Time to put the gates up (as he moves to quick to make sure he won't fall down the stairs). Time to close all the bathroom doors and time to put in the wall socket plugs. I know some parent's would do this sooner, but goodness, the time has been lost upon me, not to mention everytime we go to the store we remember, cat food, dog food, milk, cereal...yadda yadda but forget the darn wall plug covers! So today we shall make it a point to get them up!

The downside of things is that he DOES move to quick. haha. We have to watch him at everything. I was going to get those little "pen" things where you gate them up but I feel so bad, he is such a roamer that I would rather we just adjust our lives accordingly. Not like I ever fall asleep with the little one (or the big ones) constantly babbling and running around!

Off to the store we go and what a joy it will be...

Rian Crawling to...Climbing?!

So we have rarely been able to keep him still but now the couch is ALSO a new jungle gym. Who needs toys when you have an entire house full of furniture for him to climb all over and explore!!!

Carina's almost a 4th Grader

Last night we attended Carina's end of year play's. Yep. Play's. There were 4 altogether but she was only in 2 of them. They were pretty long so we only put the first half of the first one on here for you guys to watch (if you have the time or desire).

She had the toughest teacher this year but she did soo well. She also really adored her. I don't know how many times she came home and talked about her dear Mrs. Fred. It was good though because I am pretty sure she brought out the best in her.

4th grade should be interesting, busy and sometimes REALLY hard for her, but I am sure she will strive much like she has every year prior.

Way to go Carina!

Date Night

So we went on our second "date night" since Rian was born and it was a lot of fun. We had lots of catching up to do and lots of smooching to do :)

I will keep it brief. We went out to dinner at Houstons in Scottsdale which is TONS of fun, and we had their famous Ribs and Lemon Drop Margarita. SOO GOOD. For all those readers from California, Houstons to us out here in Arizona is Rutherford Grill to you guys out there. LITERALLY. Same menu. Same recipes and they BOTH no longer serve the mashed potatoes.

After that we capped of the night with a couple hours in Tempe, walking around, going into a few stores, admiring a few spray paint artists and then heading into the Dueling Piano Bar called Big Bang. Lots of fun. Next time we will have to go when we are BOTH really awake and ready to be loud and sing along. For the most part though it was pretty enjoyable :)

That was our night out and it was well worth it...we need to try and do that again soon!

Spit Face & A Baseball Game

Just wanted to post a quick update. I went to a baseball game last night with some work folks. It was depressing, mostly because we lost 10 - 3 but apparently (as all my baseball fan friends tell me) that isn't something new when it comes to the Diamondbacks. The seats were good, we saw a guy get hit in the face in the stands (darn foul balls) and we saw the guy right in front of us have a ball land in his nachos. haha. Interesting game...here are a few pics :)

Then today after a long day at work (daddy was at home with two sick kiddos) I was surprised to find Rian in a good mood. He was sick kid number one, Carina being sick kid number two!!!! Ugh, it never ends around here sometimes, but sickness hasn't been around in this house for quite some time so I guess we were due. Rian was playing all over Charlie and making spit face so I couldn't pass that up either. haha. I swear I was a camera in my previous life. haha.

Charlie and Rian :)

Rian's spit face :)

Here are some pics of the girls as well from the last couple days...

Neya LOVES to dress herself. Such great fashion skills :)

Carina drew a pretty sweet butterfly...so I captured a pic of her while drawing her masterpiece...

Mother's Day

I have been a mom now for nearly 10 years. It is sort of unreal when you think of it that way. As the kids get older, the time passes by faster and the days heat up, I forget here and there to truly enjoy the kids. Today was the day that I slowed down, and took a whole day to enjoy the kids...what better day than Mothers Day!

There was soo much fun that we had, and it kind of went like this...

We started off the day with showers, and getting everyone ready for a fun filled day of...well we didn't know just yet but hey who cares. So we got all dressed up and knew that first and foremost since it was 11 that we wanted lunch so we headed out to Chevy's at the mall. While we were heading there I had this grand idea that since our kids were in such great moods we should take the kids to get their pics done, mind you Rian was wearing bright orange and the girls were wearing black and white. haha. Totally uncoordinated but shockingly the pics turned out REALLY good!

After pics we did lunch, then after we all had SUPER full tummies we came home. I checked the mailbox and had a pic from our good friends the Dlugoleckis that had some sweet black and white magnets, some totally AWESOME beer bottle "identifiers" Basically they read "egomaniac, bed wetter" and other great things to put on our friends beers or drinks when they are over so we don't get all mixed up. Totally sweet and totally our late wedding gift, which in my book who cares how late it is, when its that cool.

Anywho, after all that we rested then got dressed for the pool. Totally fun, we spent two hours there and on the way home to cook dinner my hubby called and asked what I wanted for dinner...I said..."I'm cooking" and he said..."where do you want to GO for dinner". I grinned with pleasure and said..In n Out. Haha. Simple, cheap and yummy. My kinda place. We went to dinner, where we at inside the restaurant (not often does that happen in our family...) and we enjoyed our selves and took random pics and giggled a lot. After dinner we headed to Starbucks for a dessert drink and went home to cap off the night with a walk. GOSH...I am a lucky lady...and the day could NOT have gone any better. Did I mention that Rian's gift to me was that he went to bed at 8pm the night before and didn't wake up until 730 this morning. HEAVEN! hehe.

After 10 years, the joy of being a mom hasn't faded, and although at times, they drive me nuts, or I wonder why I had them so young it's days like today that reminds me that it's always worth it. Always. I love my kids, I appreciate my kids and I am grateful for my kids. They are what it's all about!

Magic Bullet...

I know, that title kind of leaves some questions in your mind, but I am talking about the Magic Bullet for food. We have decided that although Rian is a little older now we wanted to try and mash up some normal foods, like steamed veggies, fresh fruit and every now and then mix up some of our yummy dinners for him and see how he does.

SOOOOO...today I went to the store with the girls for groceries and in those groceries we also got some fruits and veggies. Today I only blended up two fruits but it was kind of a disaster. I tried to blend up Watermelon and Cantaloupe. Hmm, anyone who is "smart" might have known that watermelon would kind of turn into...well...water, and Cantaloupe actually did the same thing. haha.

Lucky for Rian, mom put on her thinking cap and we froze it, so now on our super hot days when the girls are enjoying popsicles he can enjoy frozen fruits. Yummy. Just like those popsicles with the "real chunks" of fruit. Hehe.

However, we did do one good thing and tonight we had Turkey, Mashed Potatoes and Corn and mommy mushed some of that up for him to, he LOVED it. So we made an extra batch and will give it to him tomorrow as well for lunch or dinner. What a lucky guy.

Tomorrow is Mothers Day and the kids and I will enjoy the day without daddy then spend the evening once he's off as a family. Should be fun, I am very excited...

That's all for now, hopefully you Mom's who follow this post have a GREAT MOTHERS DAY...(especially you Mrs. Snook!!!)

Hugs!

New Blog!!!

So here I find myself updating you with our family information on BlogSpot.com instead of our old website.

WHY?

Well it is actually a lot easier to do it this way than to continue using our website. I can upload pics faster, use slideshows and upload video WAY easier.

I know some of you may be bummed as you got used to the old website, but rest assured this will soon become easy for you to use as well. So right after this I am going to try and post our first actual update and hopefully you will enjoy!!!

P.S. Our old website will stay up for a bit, but will ONLY have a link to this website so you don't get confused.

Thanks everyone!!!
