Grown Up Fun!

Okay so it isn't to often that I get to be a grown up and get dressed up, have a drink without worrying about having a second or third as well. Not to often that I get to sleep in or even have the OPTION to sleep in, nor do I ever get to go to a nice restaurant without worrying if my kids are the annoying ones in the restaurant. This weekend that all changed. The hubs and I along with some friends headed up to Reno for the long weekend. Although we got a little bit of a late start we made up for it later in the night. What a blast! Talk about great company with great friends and at such a much needed time!!! I won't give out all the details of what went on but let me tell ya, how things have changed. Nights out now are so different than before. Drinking games...in public!! Hello!! Fun times. Needless to say the first night was amazing.

The second day was pretty good but we started it off by walking outside and then we hit up some pawn shops and wouldn't ya know it...a tattoo shop!! It was a little shop wiht a few good artists and Tiff and I got thinking...maybe we wanted a tattoo!! We hung out for a bit, told them our ideas and then just a few short hours later we were back and the shop getting our stencils put on! Talk about last minute! I have a couple tattoo's already but boy do I not remember it hurting as much as this one! Talk about pain right on my shoulder blade!!! YOWZA!!! I would compare it to child birth and mostly because I didnt even cry during that with NO drugs and here I was getting a tattoo in tears! The last 10 minutes of my 2.5 hours actually brought tears to my eyes. HOWEVER...it was completely worth it! The tattoo came out gorgeously and I hope it heals up just as great. It did however kinda ruin my night though because I was all amped up for another night out but man! The tension I had during the tattoo just built up and drained me. Completely. So I was grouchy and I probably made my friends wonder why on earth we did this on vacation but hope they forgive my sour 'tude.

The next day we got up early, got our room packed and headed out. On our way out I stopped at my sisters hours to see my nephew and drop off some clothes that Tiff had and then after that we grabbed the kids from my step dads house. He was great, kept all three kids all weekend and didn't even blink an eye! I love him for that! He had a blast and when we left Rian nearly melted my heart by asking me this very sweet question...

"mommy can we take grandpa home, I want to keep him"

Ugh, talk about melting my heart.

Well that was our weekend and I didn't really take to many pics but here are the ones worth posting and thank you to EVERYONE who played a part in this weekend, I had a blast :)

How the....

I am going to start this blog on my family friendly page just like this...

HOW THE HELL DO MOMS NOT GO CRAZY!!!!

I find myself all to often these days wanting to walk into a quiet room and just sit there in the dark with my eyes shut trying to remember the days that weren't soo darn hectic! Then I remember that I have 3 kids and the only quiet room in my house is the bathroom and sadly...it's only quiet until my butt touches the seat because all to often the kids decide that is the best time to walk in and ask me to...make them dinner, read them a book, help with homework. I mean SERIOUSLY! My butt is on the toilet you REALLLLYYYYY want me to do those things for you child!

Just sayin'...

The days this week have been all to crazy and the weeks prior haven't been much easier. I feel like my head is sometimes going to spin off my head but somehow I seem to go to bed and feel rested even if only until my feet hit the carpet and my head is off the pillow. We have been oober busy with Dance, work, homework correcting, cleaning up and the list goes on. We have been having 'get what you get' nights for dinner which means if you can get it you can eat it! most times this means cereal or spaghettio's. I hate to admit it but it has been nice to have minimal dishes and cleanup and just enough time for me to catch up on my shows while me and the hubs fold laundry.

It amazes me that life can be so crazy and it reminds me that you have to appreciate the moments, all the moments, even the crazy ones because it's those moments that are the most precious. Every memory is worth remembering even the ones that aren't flattering. I don't normally get all sappy on this blog but this weekend the hubs and I are going on a much needed grown up vacation to Reno with The Snooks. It is much needed and although there have been times recently where my husband is the last person on earth I want to be close to I think this weekend is much anticipated on both sides! You need to reconnect and remember why it is you married this person and started this life with this person.

Now before I get even more sappy I will post some pics from the last few days and hopefully they make you smile!!!

49er vs Redskin's day at the Czekalewski's

Things that remind me that Christmas is just around the corner

Just cause she is so darn cute!

Things that put a smile on my face!

And of course to make you all jealous, this is where we will be living it up without kids and gambling our life savings away (not really!) and you know you wish you were there!!! Okay so it's not Vegas but hey...a girl will take what she can get!!!
Take care all and pics to come later of our sweet vacation!

Final 'really late' pic post...

Okay so I told you I had tons of pics to post so here are the remainders!!!

Family Date Night at the Czekalewski's spent decorating cupcakes, eating cupcakes and watching Grey's!

Halloween Party at the Wendt House!

We also found out that our kids are apparently the next gen 'beer pong' crew...yes...that is fine parenting my friends...don't worry it was actually ROOT Beer Pong, to bad, or else we might have been able to sleep in the next day..I kid I kid...or do I...ha.

The following Sunday we had a birthday party to attend. It was for Austin, our nephew (RC's brothers kid) and it was a blast. They took us to a place in Roseville that is similar to a Dave and Busters. They had a roller coaster for kids, bumper cars, Games, Laser maze and a sweet buffet of food. It was extra special because this is the first birthday we have been able to celebrate with him since we have been together. Yet another good reason to be back in CA. I am slowly getting used to the fact that the things I loved about AZ are also things I can love here, just means its with different folks. I also have to realize that I just need to suck it up and make some trips to AZ! They are mandatory. The party was a blast and the only reason we left a couple hours early was so that we could make it back for a comedy show in Napa. And again I say...NO. We never rest.

Last but not least we had some trick or treating to get done!!! Yes these are the final pics. Aren't you soo glad to be done with me!!! We went trick or treating with the Czekalewskis as the area by our house is scary and probably the last place I care to trick or treat. Haha. We had a blast and even got home before 9 which after our last few weekends was heaven sent. The kids still are eating candy and I will probably throw it out before they even really make a dent. Best part of the night for me, as a camera crazy mom was that Rian wanted to pose with every pumpkin, every decoration, ever rock he saw! I love that kid and boy have I raised him well!! All in all so far this year the holidays have proven to be pretty stinking fun and yes I look huge in the halloween pics. I blame it on the mammoth heels I was wearing. I swear I dont even come close to towering over my friends like that..and I swear I look 10lbs lighter when I'm shorter (maybe wishful thinking on that one...LOL!!!
