So much stuff...

It has been just about two weeks since I last posted and SOO much has gone on.

- Mothers Day
- Found Charlie a new home
- Trip to the zoo
- Packing
- Graduation
- More packing

Not to fret we can tell you all about it now!

Mothers Day ended up being pretty great, we didn't do much and of course it wasn't without arguments here and there between the kids, crying fits and even some "time outs" but all in all it was a great day. We also went on a bike ride, we ate a yummy dinner and we spent quality time together.

We also had to find Charlie a new home, because where we are going to stay isn't permanent and once we find our own place we aren't sure it will fit her so we just figured we would find her a new home. She is now living on ten acres of land with a pool and 2 other doggy friends, chickens and two bikers that are absolutely in love with her. She is doing great and getting SUPER spoiled!

After a few boring weekends alone though we also decided that after 5 weeks of NOT seeing dad we would invite him down and so we bought him a plane ticket and then BAM, he was here. We had so much that we wanted to do but I ended up with a tiny flu bug for the first day (note to self, do not drink a blueberry smoothie if you hear of a flu going around...doesn't come up well...) I know TMI, but hey. This is my blog, I'm allowed. haha. The first night I was not doing well, then the second day my whole body was just tired and achy and felt tingly all over so we made a quick trip to the mall, hung out, got candy apples (that I wasn't even in the mood to eat), saw the puppies (that they swear aren't from puppy mills) and then we headed home but NOT before we ended up at the local BEST BUY!

That is where I bought the coolest most wonderful gift ever. A new camera. It was something we had wanted ever since we saw our friends and the great pics it takes and sooo we decided to splurge. As soon as we move to CA we will go into penny pinching mode and so we decided this last purchase was going to be well worth it. I consider it my b-day gift even though my b-day isn't until June! Haha. I will post some pics from it soon, but do note, I am still inamateur mode so some still don't look quite as great, but they do look light years better than our old camera either way.

After RC left we were sad and of course realized we have a few more weeks until we are all back together officially and so what we did was make the most of it. We hung out for the beginning of the week, eating up the food that we had left in the house and then on Thursday we had a BIG day. It was Neya's Kindergarten Graduation! The last day of school is always exciting but the fact that it was Neya's last day of Kindergarten was bittersweet. I always get teary eyed at things like this and it was the first time in 7 years that RC wasn't by my side to hold the camera so I could cry. Haha. SO I had to suck it up and cry behind the lens :)

She did great, she had a few songs that they sung, they told us what they want to be when they grow up, they walked the bridge from Kinder to First Grade. It was all so cute. In fact it made me think of when Carina graduated because they were actually taught by the same Kindergarten teacher. IT was then that I realized how long we have been here. This is our home and I am sad to see it be just a memory. HOPEFULLY we can make a place for ourselves back in Napa and feel as comfy there as we do here :)

Well, that is about it, the girls are going to have a sleepover tonight, we have nearly packed up the entire house (might be taking apart the girls bed in the next week to make the room look bigger), will be showing the house to renters, having a garage sale and saying goodbye in 5 weeks! Crazy! If you wonder how long till we are back in California just check out our cool new ticker at the top of our page :)

I will post a quick blurb eventually about how I am doing but for now just wanted to give you updates and some quick pics of the last few weeks :)

24.78

I bet you are wondering what that number is. WELL...It is the number of miles we have ridden our bikes in the last 4 days. Saturday was our longest ride, we rode to lunch, to Target, Hobby Lobby, the grocery store and back home :) THat one Neya didn't ride, she just hung out in the trailer with Rian, but on Sunday she rode with us and she did GREAT. She rode a total of 5 miles and she didn't complain one little bit :) I am sure you are STILL wondering why on earth we are riding so much, but to be honest it is REALLY nice to ride. We get outside, you can't really talk much but you enjoy eachothers company none the less and we ride to do everything. My feeling is, I commute an hour EACH WAY for work so why NOT ride my bike and get fresh air and tire the kids out a bit if possible.

So until it gets REALLY hot we have instituted a "no car" rule if we have errands to run or places we want to go. We have gone to the grocery store, we have returned movies, we have ridden just to ride around the neighborhood. Its really nice. Rian has gotten used to his helmet and Neya's little legs get her pretty far. Today we had a mishap where her chain on her bike got loose and I had to fix it on the side of the road, but it was simple as putting the chain sorta in place, and running her tires backwards for a few seconds. She was excited I fixed it but I am nervous to ride to far with her now as I don't want her chain to break. Perhaps we can ride to a bike shop this weekend and see if they can tighten it or something. Fingers will be crossed that we don't "break down" before we get there. Haha.

Anywho. That is pretty much what we have been up to. We have some exciting stuff coming up, like Neya's Kindergarten promotion, a secret something in a week and a half, we are going to visit with a coworker who just had a baby, I am going to see Iron Man 2 with the bestie and well...I think that is it so far. Some other things we have DONE besides bike rides or in lieu of, is that we have gone to a recorder recital for Carina, we went and saw "How to train your dragon" and LET ME TELL YOU...it was SOO good. I loved it. Rian is SLOWLY getting better about watching movies in the theatre but since he is not a movie/tv kinda kid he does tend to get bored about 45 minutes in. He is "sit last minute" type of kid. Alright, well like I said earlier, nothing TO great has gone on but we have a lot coming up so stay posted :) Alright...well got to post some pics and vids before my battery on my laptop dies :)

The kiddos painting bird houses
The girls decided to make Blackberry "spread" and it actually wasn't to bad :)
The girls showing off the School Expo projects
Carina at her Recorder Recital
Rian showing off in his silly feety jammies
Neya and Rian PASSED OUT in the bike trailer...don't worry we finally figured out the buckles so now Rian sits up straight and sleeps. haha.
Rian feeding himself with a spoon like a BIG BOY :)

Singing Neya Happy Birthday (Note the Skype up in the background, Grandma, Dad, Aunts and GREAT Grandma were all singing to)
