Hiatus Part 1...Pictures

Hiatus. Thats me and thats where I have been. I was on a blogging hiatus (sad). Really it was more of a hiatus from anything even somewhat resembling a normal life. let me tell you. It all took over. Life that is. In fact I don't even remember the last time I posted a good post so to make up for it I will post 1 or 2 pics (maybe 5 or 10 haha) from each event we have been to the last few MONTHS. Gasp. Could be quite a giant post. I will title each one and hopefully this will catch you up! Man I stink at this whole blogging thing right now but I am going to try and get it back together or else not only will be sanity be slightly less in tact than it currently is but my photo taking will also continue to take a back seat. As you can tell my pics have gotten slightly amateurish with the busy life but hey, I wasn't a pro to begin with so spare me the evil side glances whilst viewing highlights of our last few months. LOL.

So after I post all these pics some will of course require explanation so I will post a part 2 with some blurbs. Hopefully your head doesn't explain from Hernandez Clan data overload. Although we have been super busy I really hope you have missed us and are excited to have me back in the bloggin universe! Lord knows I am happy to be back!!!

New Niece!!!

In fact. My first niece. Ever. Okay okay, honorary niece I suppose but darn it, I am her auntie and she is my niece, no matter the logistics of it all.

This weekend on Saturday my best friend Matt and his amazing wife Ashley had their little girl just in time for Mothers Day. I won't go into details but as we all know, thing happen, you rush to a hospital and BAM you are proud parents...again :) She is adorable and I can't wait to get even more pictures of her. For now here are her "birth"-day pics and I am so happy I was a part of their first moments together, even if only by text message. Hehe.

I love you Trojan Family and I can't wait to see you!

New Arrival!

I haven't posted in a bit but this little fella deserves his very own post before I play catch up.

Teagen Fox Czekalewski
7lbs 2oz
21"
Born at 6:48pm at Kaiser Vallejo

I was headed on my way to go be there for Melody and her fam (mostly her, who am I kidding) and I was just waiting for Carina's Softball practice to be over, was certain that I would have enough time and as I showed up at 7:10pm they let me know he was JUST born. Like literally. JUST born. Melody was a trooper she went from 5cm to popping that little baby boy out! I swear she even looked like she was just home from a day at the SPA. Okay that might be an exagerration but really, she didn't look like she just had a baby.

He is a cutie, complete with dark hair and ears and eyes just like daddy. We couldn't decide but strongly believe he has grandma Sue's nose. Either way he is more adorable than I can explain and I am happy I was in town for her second baby to be brought into this world.

Good work Mel! We all love you!

P.S. I will post better pics as I get them uploaded my camera, these are just crappy camera phone pics. This is a goal of mine today so HOPEFULLY I am able to do it SOON!

An Update. Gasp. What!

Okay so I looked at the date of my last post and it was January 24th. Yikes! Soo much has gone on since that lovely date. Where to get started.

Feb we had Valentines Day. As always it was low key and we celebrated with one another. Dad made dinner for his girls (and boy) and although it was a rough time for us we came out smiling.

Fast forward and I had traveled to AZ for work, had traveled to SoCal for work and have also picked up our kitty during this process. I saw friends. Got bummed about leaving AZ all over again and came back to our little family only to move into a house of our own on February 26th. It hasn't even been a month and we are already inundated with Utility Bills, have called our 'handy man' to come out and fix our windows, been through insane weather but ALSO have been able to call it our own.

Not all the rooms are situated yet (mostly our bedroom and the girls bedroom) but it already feels more like home than our house in AZ. NOT because we didn't love AZ more but because each wall has pics up and we have a full set of furniture. The fridge has pics and we have even hung up our TV! I know. All those things normally wait to be done until we are really settled but heck. This time we are serious. We just want our home to feel like home.

We did move way out in the middle of nowhere. Our neighbors are true rednecks and hippies but hey, they are nice enough. We have deer in our front yard almost every morning (some mornings they are rummaging through our garbage cans) and every now and then we see wild turkeys roaming the streets as well.

We all know I LOVE animals so its a fun treat. We live away from civilization and although some may say it sucks (especially us after this recent rain/wind storm) it really is also nice that we are away from it all to make sure we are really in tune with our fam also. NOW the commute stinks. The late nights on Softball and Ballet days stink and the fact that we can't just go "grab a bite to eat" when we don't feel like cooking stinks but hey, thats okay. We are happy.

We have a couple up there that is great to hang with and we have a friend of mine who has come up and we have RC's cousin who is staying with us for a bit so not a big deal. We still have people that love us. I have missed out on some invites for fun nights at other friends houses but we never really got those invites when we were in town either soo I guess 'no sweat of my brow' or whatever that saying is. haha.

I wanted to post a couple pics of our little tiny micro mansion and here they are...minus of course our room and the girls room so far.
